NuvoBio's proprietary AI platform designs novel peptides and, in the same run, tells you what they’ll do across the whole proteome.
APPROACH
We don’t optimise existing peptides. We design new ones.
Most platforms take a peptide that already exists and optimizes it.
We design our peptides in new, uncrowded, chemical space and model every interaction across the proteome, so selectivity is built in from the first run.
The conventional route
Pick a target, find a pocket, dock and optimise against a static snapshot of a protein that never actually sits still.
We learn how proteins interact and apply it across the whole proteome. One run gives a library of novel binders with target specificity mapped across the proteome.
PLATFORM
From target to library in 11 hours
Four stages in the cloud. The output is a candidate peptide library with off-target profile and reduced future liabilities built in.
01
Select target
Our platform designs libraries of target-specific peptides using only a UniProt sequence entry for the target of interest.
02
Select off-targets
Interactions to avoid are specified up front, so safety is designed in rather than discovered late.
03
Evolve
Candidates run through recursive generational cycles. Converging at target-specificity.
04
Score
Each generation scores higher on multivariate fitness, balancing on- and off-target interactions.
VALIDATION
The platform has been proven four ways
Potent
Our lead SMYD3 peptide (NB-SMY3-003) drops target activity to baseline and beats the leading pharma small molecules.
Cell active
Active in patient-derived lung cancer cells as an mRNA-LNP therapeutic.
NB-SMY3-003 also demonstrates activity through SMYD3's endogenous substrates, a milestone that no one else has been able to achieve.
Novel
No sequence overlap with known clinical-stage binders or natural SMYD3 interactions.
Predictive
Run blind on clinical-stage peptides, our platform found the off-target interactions behind their known safety findings in under an hour.
We are able to identify off-target libabilities early in the design process.
CLINICAL RISK
Our platform maps off-target engagement across the proteome to the adverse events it’s likely to cause, so safety becomes a design constraint instead of a late surprise.
